A-Tick Certification instruction

A-Tick is by the Australian Communications Authority, referred to as communications equipment issued to ACA certification mark.

 
    First, manufacturers and importers must follow these steps to use the A-Tick:
    1 product technical standards for test execution ACAQ
    2 ACA registered to the A-Tick
    3 Fill "Declaration of Conformity Form", and record keeping, and product line with
    4 in communication with the product or device affixed to the label A-Tick mark
    5 Sales to consumers


    Second, telecommunications equipment, A-tick requirements
    According to the Australian Telecommunications Act 1997 Part 21, by the Australian Communications and Media Authority ACMA is responsible for the telecommunications equipment and consumer connections consumer technology management. ACMA introduced based on the product label for this and meet the relevant technical standards for self-management system, the system in accordance with Bulletin 2001 to implement the telecommunications label.
    Meet the requirements of the main purpose is to ensure that such products meet the requirements of regulatory authorities in the provision of relevant technical standards and connect to the telecommunications network before or been properly identified. Technical standards related to the integrated telecommunications network on the user and operator health and safety, to provide standard telephone service and telecommunications network interconnection to achieve availability of emergency calling services.
    Australian manufacturers and importers or their authorized agent must be specified in the notice label on the product label affixed A-tick, or does not meet the label.
    In general, anything that can connect to the operator or operators of public telecommunications service provider on the network connected consumer devices and consumers are all labels defined in the announcement of telecommunications products, such as:
    - Answering machine
    - Mobile Phone
    - Fax
    - Telephone (including cordless phones)
    - Modem
    About A-Tick
    A-Tick only applies to communications products, electronic products, mostly to apply C-Tick, but the electronics if the application A-Tick, you do not need to apply for C-Tick.
    November 2001, to Australia / New Zealand EMI merger applications; if the product is sold in these two countries, the following documents must together in marketing before, to prepare for ACA (Australian Communications Authority) or the Ministry of Economic Development at the checks.
