LVD electrical product safety testing introduced

Currently, there are many electronics in our everyday lives. These things have risks including electric-shock, fire, harmful radiation, chemical, and explosion and so on. For the safety of the public, the nation has put out a series regulations to protect.

Safety certification
Safety certification includes product safety certification, electromagnetic compatibility, environmental protection certification, energy certification etc and refers to one type of product certification for protecting users and environmental safety and quality.
Europe CE certificatio
CE certification involves about 30 European product directives, which can be divided into three categories: basic directives, general directives and specific product directives. Four most frequently involved directives of them are mandatory CE certifications:
1. Low Voltage Electrical Device Directive (LVD)
2. Electro Magnetic Compatibility (EMC) Directive
3. Machinery Directive
4. (General) Medical Device Directive (MDD)

U.S UL certification
UL Mark is the safety certification mark acknowledged in U.S and North America area. Products with such Mark are guaranteed with reputation in both safety and quality; UL Mark has been accepted by vast majority of customers in terms of reputation. Therefore, UL Mark has become a passport.
Difference between certified safety products and uncertified ones
Because of the long time of application, there are strict regulations about quality (Like ISO 9000 check.). This is to make sure for quality control in large-scale production, with regular and irregular maintaince and checks.
Base on the specialty of each factory and the integrity and applicability of factory, after a safety certification, modifications could not be made. So the safety products have a higher standard for manufacturing.
